Pete and Tom will be performing two CD release parties for the release of a live concert CD recorded quite a while ago. Details are: Thu Jan 24, 2002 CD Release Concert Pete Kennedy & Tom Principato 219, Alexandria, VA (703)549-1141. Sun Jan 27, 2002 2:00pm CD Release concert Pete Kennedy & Tom Principato Bangkok Blues, Falls Church, VA New gigs have also been added for The Kennedys on Musi-Cal (with more to come), including a return to the Southeast in February ("yay for Rhiannon," says Maura). Don't forget to check out the holiday compilation CDs at the website (http://www.kennedysmusic.com/). Proceeds go to benefit disadvantaged children And a related, non-Kennedys-related holiday music plug: I can't recommend enough "Wonderland," Signature Sounds' winter album, with original cuts from Nerissa and Katryna Nields (easily my favorite song on the album), Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer (my second favorite song), and many, many others (some are remakes of traditional covers, many are originals). This CD will not be in stores until next year, but can be found now at http://www.signaturesounds.com/. All proceeds go to benefit the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. Made reservations weeks ago. Folks from TK guitar workshop probably remember Tom. We might have another friend or couple with us. Hope all you guys who are going to NoHo have a great New Year's Eve! Also, anyone within earshot ought to make plans to come to the Birchmere for the World Folk Music Association benefit Jan. 18-19. TK will receive the Kate Wolf Memorial Award there. Plus, there's gonna be a full, great weekend of folk music and there are discounts on hotel accommodations available in connection with the concert. This is a tribute to Harry Chapin weekend in conjunction with Harry's charity, World Hunger Year. For more info, you can e-mail me directly: jvotel@washingtontimes.com. or you can visit www.wfma.net.
