MJC sent me a really inflammatory email after the first post I made, before I had a chance to clarify anything (the first email I sent out after I posted the URL never got sent, due to some ISP difficulties). I had then posted some additional comments, which I believe most people accepted, at least as my opinions, whether they agreed or not...which is all I wanted. MJC has blocked my email - so be it. This is America. He didn't say that he didn't love America and to give the terrorists a hug. He said and I am paraphrasing VERY loosely to pray for peace. What is wrong with that? I sent my original message to spur people like myself on to take action to Call for appropriate action. In my beliefs this is quite the opposite of pacifism. (I sent an offline message to him telling him that it was not personal and he responded accordingly and appropriately and courteously). The point of this message is that 4 days ago we were a country divided. What these terrorists don't realize is that America is deep down very community oriented. We are going to pull together and be stronger than ever because of this. We are not going to be weakened by this unless we allow ourselves to bicker. I believe right now is a time for prayer for our leaders (as is commanded in the Bible).1 Timothy 2:1-4. It says... "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. As you make your requests, plead for God's mercy upon them, and give thanks. Pray this way for kings and all others who are in authority, so that we can live in peace and quietness, in godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, for he wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth." Though many of you don't have the faith that I do. I believe that we are still united in spirit. Tuesday was a day in which America was shaken to its core. The following days are days in which we should not allow the terrorists to get what they want. A DIVIDED AMERICA. This is a time when we should be tolerant of everyone. Thank you Bob for your courteous response. As far as the person who is deleting your e-mail. Good for him also. Let us not bring divisiveness to our communities.
