When Nancy and I went to Dulles Airport to fly to Kerrville, I heard a familiar jangle coming over the speakers as I was walking into the big terminal. Yep: It was the Muzak version of "Sunday" from "Life is Large." It was about 5 a.m. on Aug. 30. I'll never speak derisively of Muzak again. - -- Jay "Injustice is relatively easy to bear; what stings is justice." - --H.L. This is the >GRAND OPENING of Baltimore's grooviest new venue, located at St John's >United Methodist Church, 5315 Harford Road. Also on the bill are: >Jasaga, Side By Side, The Mammals. Show starts at 8pm. All ages. Yay! The Kennedys on the same stage with The Mammals (who are a very cool band including Pete Seeger's grandson Tao)! At Cellar Stage nonetheless! btw, the term "grand opening" is rather misleading and took me totally by surprise, seeing as this venue has been open for about a year now. In fact, this isn't even The Kennedys' first time on this stage (I'm pretty sure that there's even a folding chair with their name on it; am i remembering correctly?)! I have no idea why it's called the grand opening; maybe that means that they finished the renovations? In any case, this should be a pretty awesome show. Cellar Stage is, in fact, probably Baltimore's grooviest music venue; it's far better than your typical church basement. Hope that some of you all make your way to this part of the world for this! ~Rebecca _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ End of jangle-poets-digest V3 #150 **********************************
