The summit, or DB3, as it has been dubbed by the press, marks the first time that Dashboard Buddhas North, Central, and South, have convened under one roof. Longhill Farm, the site of the meeting, has taken on a festival atmosphere, with thousands of devotees camped on the hillside, hoping for a glimpse of the three rotund world leaders. Musicians played on a makeshift stage, and a carnival-like midway sprang up to provide the hardy campers with goods ranging from tie-dye t-shirts to vegetarian Reuben sandwiches. "I came all the way from Australia", said one tired but obviously excited young man, "I wouldn't miss this for the world. The music is good, too!" On Saturday afternoon, thousands thronged the hillside, pressing closer and closer to the tent where the three Buddhas were sequestered. A roar erupted from the crowd when, to the strains of "Life is Large", they suddenly appeared, each holding aloft his cell phone and espresso. The crowd began chanting "Yay for yay!", and playing tambourines, dancing and strumming baby Taylors. The smiling modern-day magi hoisted their espressos, in the universal sign of solidarity, and then were gone. A spokesperson said that the three leaders reached agreement on major points, including capping the cost of cell phone use, and using only rainforest friendly coffee beans. It is rumored that another summit will be held on the same site next year. As one beaming camper put it, "It was a moment I can tell my grandchildren about, plus, the music was good, too!"
