Life is Large (reprise) It was short opening set for the Kennedys in their hometown. Solas performed afterward, after a long intermission. Pete & Maura were full of energy and, as always, looked like they were having a blast. The Sirens solo included snatches of Daytripper, I Feel Fine, Norwegian Wood, Pinball Wizard and Bouree (a la Jethro Tull). The town square was packed with more people than I expected. Solas was powerful, especially in their jams and reels. All in all, a nice evening. (NH3C) Tom Tom Club was fantastic! I think I may have found a new favorite band. They've got the whole package... Dinner consisted of oysters on the 1/2 shell, mussels steamed in wine, fresh giant asparagus, prime rib. I mean, does it get any better than this? The 30 Year Jam lasted 'til 2:30AM W/ Tina & Chris, Buddy Miles, Ray Manzerak (Doors), & the Deep Banana Horns. After torrential rains each day the pkace pretty much looks like a disaster area. 2day I got 2 meet Joules Graves. American Airlines lost her luggage so I loaned her my guitar & she played it on stage. I also gave her a homemade Cady Carroll press kit & Xplained that she had a kindred spirit over here on the best coast. Joules set was short (30min) & very inspirational. I can't wait 2 hear her whole show. Rumor has it that Joules is planning a move 2 NoHo. Remember where U heard it 1st... Dicky Betts raged thru a late afternoon set B4 the sky opened up W/ lightning & the stage was powered down. Buddy Miles has remained on site jamming W/ the Rafterbats in the hospitality tent while await Bruce Hornsby & the John Scholfield Band, who R Xpected 2 B joined X Buddy Miles. Well, I've got 2 go change batteries & walk around in the mud some more B4 nightfalls & the show commences. I wonder what's 4 dinner... Lobster tails mayB???
