Hey Janglers, I'm tres excited about the Live CD and haved decided to upsize my order and get Angel Fire, Life Is Large and River of Fallen Stars at the same time (to save on postage to foreign climes (clams?)). Today I have two questioni: 1. When is Positively being released? 2. What is the Traveling Troubadours CD on their order form ? Presumably a compilation that includes TK, but is it worth parting with $5 of my hard earned? Galaxy Express should B comming out @ the same time, unless it's been canned. I'm not really clear on the fate of Galaxy... I'm not sure anybody else is either. 2) 4 the money it's a bargin. 4 the collector there R some previously unreleased versions of a couple of tunes. As samplers go, it's a good series. Rounder also puts out a Road Warriors series that's pretty cool. What a coinky-dink! I played that CD for the first time in awhile this weekend. A 25+ programming weekend from hell made a bit better by this and other CDs. I listen to all the songs when I play it. Wow. Vance Gilbert, Cheryl Wheeler, Lynn Miles, Bill Morrisey, and Ellis Paul are some of the other great artists on this recording. And only $5. I am testing whether the Real video files on the video page will work as streaming files, which means they start playing after a few seconds, rather than having to wait for them to download. I know the streaming works on cable modems, but I am interested in whether it will work on dial-up, 56k, modems. If you have a modem, and wouldn't mind testing it out for me, I'd appreciate it. The streaming is set up for Pick you up and Free, but only if you click the picture of the Evolver album cover. The text name link is not streaming. http://www.hakmusic.com/kennedys/kennedys.html please reply to me personally (not the list), there is a link on the web page. Oh, and for everyone, I have a guestbook up on the web page now, drop me a note the next time you stop by. thanks, Harry ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! I'm only getting still images that change every few seconds instead of full motion video. This is on a 56k modem with a (supposedly - can I trust CompuServe?) 48000 bps current connection. Oh, I miss my DSL connection. BTW, I guess I should introduce myself. I've been lurking on jangle-poets since Sheila announced the list to NanciNet. Happy to be following The Kennedys' music. Originally heard about River of Fallen Stars from people on NanciNet. One of the best discoveries that came from NN (and there have been *many* good ones). Though I like all the CDs, RoFS is never out of my CD player for long. The Byrds meet Jefferson Airplane meets Jackie DeShannon, and not the least bit dated-sounding. Amazing musical accomplishment. And a lot of fun. Haven't seen The Kennedys live yet, but that *might* change because I have tickets for The Birchmere show with The Nields, though I'm afraid I won't be able to get there on the day. Sorry about replying to the full list, but I thought if I was going to send a reply to anyone here, I should introduce myself to everyone. And anyway, someone might stream the video on a 56k modem and think they were seeing all there is to see. So here's a warning. Don't do it. Download it and see what everyone is talking about.
