I had *no* idea what it was, so I very excitingly opened it up. I pull out the contents, and what is it, but my very own DASHBOARD BUDDHA! I'm so excited. I'm going to take it out to my car the next time i go anywhere. I'm having to hide it from my dog for now, though... it seems that she doesn't understand that she can't EAT the buddha (he squeaks). YAY BUDDHA AND KENNEDYS! - -rhiannon who thinks that it's very scary that her dashboard buddha was made in china. - ----------------------------------- "I sold my computer for a used acoustic guitar" - -the nields! - ----------- my homepage: http://www.unca.edu/~rcrichar/ - ----------------------------------- Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Oct 2000 00:11:51 -0500 (CDT) From: PhotoTwang2@webtv.net (Richard Hill) Subject: Re: [jangle-poets] Midwest venues A few days ago HarchOhio said: >The best place I've seen Pete and Maura play >was The Old Town School of Folk Music in >Chicago. The OTSofFM has got to be one of the best venues in the world. It's a thoroughly renovated old library auditorium, optimally designed specifically for acoustic music. I don't think there's a seat in the house that's more than 40 (or so) feet from the stage. A very cool venue, with an adjacent store full of anything and everything for the acoustic musician. >A place I'd LIKE to see them play is The Thirsty >Ear Tavern (great name, eh!) in Columbus, >Ohio. It's in a little strip center where you >wouldn't expect to find such a cool place. Good >food, good sound. And, "Hear Here" to the Thirsty Ear, as well. A small venue, but they book 'em in anyway. Everyone from Kevin Gordon to Fairport Convention call themselves regulars at Flaherty's Thirsty Ear.
