Subject: [jangle-poets] Midwest venues

The best place I've seen Pete and Maura play was The Old Town School of Folk 
Music in Chicago. They opened for Richard Shindell. It's a beautiful theater, 
with a balcony, in which we sat for a terrific view of the stage. The sound 
and lighting were terrific.

A place I'd LIKE to see them play is The Thirsty Ear Tavern (great name, eh!) 
in Columbus, Ohio. It's in a little strip center where you wouldn't expect to 
find such a cool place. Good food, good sound.

well...i've only seen them at the grey eagle and at jack of the wood....and one
show had a sorry thurs nite turnout (which i've come to find is fairly usual for
thurs nite...only therez usually LESS people.....strange...) and the other was a
wacked up bar with wierdos.  so i dont really have much to put in on this
conversation....except that i've heard of some of these places....but i've never
been to the cradle...but itz rhiannon's favorite!

Cone sent in an article which appeared in today's Northampton Valley Advocate 
about author Pam Houston and her association with The Nields (including that 
she will be opening for them this weekend at the Iron Horse in Northampton).
