Thank you for that Rhiannon!! I can't believe how potent vicarious happiness can be!! I am SO glad that everyone was able to go and happier yet that I didn't have to sit by the phone in case the Asheville PD should happen to ring me :-) Don't you just love happy endings? However, I'm now left without a crusade and am feeling a bit lost without one.....I'll entertain requests! I had a teeny, tiny bit of Kennedys myself last night while seeing Beth Amsel (drop everything and check her out NOW (www.bethamsel.com)...better yet, go see her!) and Richard Shindell at the Joyful Noise in Lexington, MA. On the bulletin board was a promo poster from Evolver. The Kennedys are playing at the JN in November, though NO WHERE was there any indication that this was the case and I spoke to one of the volunteers and tried to get him to say something about it while he was introducing the acts and telling us all about the coffeehouse and such, but apparently, they only plug the next month's show for whatever reason.....perhaps our attention spans aren't expected to be that far-ranging. After checking the "Request Your Favorite Performer" write-in list and joyfully seeing that someone had beaten me to Pete and Maura (and Nerissa and Katryna), I hung around underneath the Evolver poster, since that was the closest I was going to be able to get to Asheville that night (not that there was anything wrong with where I was myself...it was a great show!). I really wanted to "liberate" the poster but behaved myself....if it's still there in November, though, it's coming home with me!!! Peace, Sheila SIX days until Caffe Lena's and MY turn to see P&M!!
