We encourage all to participate, so send in your photos' URLs and we'll link to them from our photo page. Also, if there are any other Kennedys-related sites you'd like us to link to (for instance, if someone were to post our set lists, or, say, an essay on The Kennedys influence on folk fashion), we'd be happy to link those up too! Be creative. Secondly, glad someone has spotted Dashboard Buddha! He's very wise. Look for his haiku-form comments throughout our tour diary. And yes, Katie, we do have another CD "in the can". Even though "Evovler" just came out in January, we've got the next one done. This is not unusual, since it takes the record companies several months to get the CDs manufactured and assign a release date, which will most likely be in February or March. Let's see...what can we give away about it? How 'bout the title: "Galaxy Express"! Thanks, everyone, for making this discussion group so interesting and fun! Keep an eye out for our next chapters in the tour diary, along with more words of wisdom from Dashboard Buddha! I thought I'd throw my two cents worth in: I'm really hoping that "Too Much Lonely", with Kate helping out, makes it to the disc this time! I know you'll work it in, if it fits. I like the title. It reminds me of a Galaxie 500 :-) Richard Hill check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.kennedysmusic.com/ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Aug 2000 17:51:32 -0700 From: katie stohlmann Subject: jangle-poets haikus I would just like to say that I think it's really cool that Dashboard Buddha writes in the form of Haiku. At KRCB (aka, the radio station I'm the slave for) they have this never-ending Morning Haiku project where people write sappy Haikus about the landscape and frighteningly enough, traffic on the 101, add even sappier New Age music (shudder) and play them at 5:45Am. Luckily I've only had to mix 2 (which never aired because everyone but me thought they sucked). IF only people would write interesting Haikus like Dashboard Buddha, maybe my friend Ted who has to do them wouldn't go insane. Nothing to do with the Kennedys persay, but it's just more randomness from me. Oh and I read the entire summer 2000 tour diary. It was a really fun read, especially since they drove through places where I live, lived, or live near. Plus they mentioned Amoeba Records, the coolest record store on earth. And it's not that far from me when I'm at school!!!!!!!!!!!!! katie http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~stohlman/nields.htm ps - if anyone has a haiku they want read by actors, mixed with sappy new age music, and played at 5:45AM, send it my way. I'll even tape over old hightower radio shows* and send it to you *the tapes are five minutes and easily recycleable. pps - next project: weird but creative webpage about why i like the kennedys. check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha, groovy merchandise and more fun than you can shake a stick at!! ------------------------------ End of jangle-poets-digest V2 #24 *********************************
