Live, Thurston's guitar sounded like God and their encore of Now I Wanna Be Your Dog with Iggy Pop in London in 1987 is up there in my greatest live moments ever. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xo1t8_iggy-pop-sonic-youth-wanna-be-your_mus ic My daughter was born a week after Dirty came out and I listened to that album many times in the dead of night and early morning in the following weeks (which probably explains why she now only likes show tunes). Saw Thurston and Lee with Glenn Branca in the pre-Youth days too - can still picture Ranaldo in my mind's eye, intently taking his cues from Branca. But I've never loved anything since Dirty with the same intensity. Realise on writing this I haven't thought of them or played them for a good while. Fave three probably EVOL, Dirty and Sister. another the Keith On 17 Sep 2012, at 12:30, MarkBursa@aol.com wrote: > Odd band really.
