My thoughts were very much along the lines expressed by: > Eric (in terms of remaining here)Paul/elektrolad/Jan plus, I seem to be going through a non-wire 70's phase this month (reading the wonderful Eno bio, recently finished Barney Hoskins' Led Zep 4 treatise, saw 'It Might Get Loud", and just fucking LOVED Marc Ribot with Allison Krauss and 'Bob' Plant on a re-broadcast of Raising Sand on the Country Music channel). And, in 21st century leanings, I'm 'really digging' Andy Moor and Colin Mclean's laptop/guitar dances. but, as all this is 'wireless', I refrain from flinging it in the general direction of the list. It's worth persevering, Colin posts fairly regularly and G Lewis and Margaret too. Shame more ICers don't check in more often but maybe I'll check in IC more often. That said the quality of debate is..ahem..variable and of late it does resemble the pesonal Blog page of the self-applauding Mr G Rowland who, not content with being booted off IC is now doing his best to get booted off Pink Flag. To pick up a couple of threads... Wilson Neate's book is really worthwhile and y'all need one. A set text. Well written, and lots of new information from the source. and has some insight into why Mr Gilbert and Wire parted company. I haven't bothered with Paul Lester's book after bad reviews..if it turns up in Fopp for #3 I may be tempted. Anyone heard Bruce's new one yet? I joined the forum and visited it maybe three times. And for the record, I enjoy the IC as much for the Wire content as the "off topic" posts. It's fascinating to see how so many people with one thing in common can be so different about everything else. Makes reading all the posts worthwhile!
