Prince certainly made a shedload more money from his last album by 'giving it away' than he would with a normal retail release. I daresay New Order will make more money from giving away PCL than on the whole of their current re-issue programme which I believe the hardcore fans are boycotting due to poor sound, extra tracks mastered off the Vinyl etc. The Oasis thing I think is just aimed at their core fanbase to offset a bit of the loss from illegal downloads, although I'm amazed anyone can even be arsed to download it! Actually, I caught the expiration date and missed the dates when the files were active :oP Anyone out there feel like emailing me the mp3's? or posting 'em for me to acquire.
