The problem is that once it opens as a 26 minutes long file it remains so whatever you do - even if you try to cut some of the beginning it's just as if these 26 mins were all there ever were in the file. > > > > --- On *Wed, 8/10/08, giluz * wrote: > > From: giluz > Subject: Fwd: [idealcopy] OT Wav file bigger than 4GB > To: "Idealcopy" > Date: Wednesday, 8 October, 2008, 2:30 PM > > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > From: giluz > > Date: 2008/10/8 > Subject: Re: [idealcopy] OT Wav file bigger than 4GB > To: Creatured > > > > > 2008/10/8 Creatured > > > > > > > Hey,Can you burn 4 gig to a dvdr? > > > Yes you can. > > > > I take it you dont want to downsze the bit rate? I don't have a DVD player anyway - I use my mac for watching them. The problem has to do with the attributes and limitations intrinsic to the WAV format (I guess this applies to the AIFF format as well but I don't know and it doesn't really matter 'cause I'm still stuck with a WAV file). Both audio and video DVD content is cut into segments so I don't think DVD players can actually play large files. giluz 2008/10/9 Ari > have you tried playing it on a 'stand alone' dvd player? if it plays the > whole 4 gigs you could always link it to another recorder (C.D or DVD) and > re-record it. > worth a try.........
