Its a modest sized venue too so you're never far from the stage. It held some interesting events in its cinema days. I'm pretty sure TG played there and The Stooges played their only UK gig there (before the recent reformation) with local, John Lydon in the audience. Notwithstanding that you seem to be able to get yourself killed anywhere in London these days, anyone from out of town should be aware its the kind of area where you need to keep an eye out for yourself. Last time I went it stank of cleaning fluid which didn't help.<< The venue is upstairs and quite small - maybe ICA sized. Not sure what has happened to the old downstairs cinema bit ( I went to the Cinema there a few times in the 80s - always showed very eclectic stuff). Good venue though - saw Mission of Burma there a few years back, and Clinic last year.
