This is odd... I preordered "Object 47" last week for the 07/15 schedules release date. As far as I can tell it hasn't shipped yet which means it's very unlikely I'll get it Tuesday. Ok. This was the preorder link: http://www.tower.com/object-47-wire-cd/wapi/112140894 The UPC for this item is: 843190002122 Checking on the site yesterday to see if it had shipped, there's "Object 47" available and in stock: http://www.tower.com/object-47-wire-cd/wapi/112212453 The UPC for this is: 0843190002122 Although there's a two dollar difference in the one I preordered (cheaper) and the one in stock, both carry the list price of $15.98. What's the difference between them? One extra zero? UPC code lookups suggest that the in-stock one may be an import, but it's not clear, and if so isn't it unusual for an import to carry the same list price as a domestic? (I live in the USA). Is one not a digipack? Doesn't seem so. And to think I suggested this tower.com to the list. Grrr. Maybe I'm just impatient and being obsessive, but damn. Oh, yeah...noone responded to my question of the remasters vs. prior cd releases of the first three Wire albums. In between downloading morality handwringing, recycling ideas, and the whole Parkay / Butter? thing raging, I guess noone had time. Makes me feel less bad about the tower.com link though. :-) I hope this list has a good dry sense of humor or I'm in trouble... Tower probably had to wait for the release date to get them shipped from wherever. Does that make sense? Mine IS on the way from Pink Flag. I did d/l from the torrent, but haven't listened yet. Got the new Negativeland last week and been playing that. There's also that new elektrolad track... Newer remasters are usually better than old cds. Louder at least. Do they stil make Parkay? I'm a Canoleo fan! e You are receiving this email because I sent it to you. Does that make sense?<< Not really. It seems there's two versions of the album but they're identical. >>>Mine IS on the way from Pink Flag. I did d/l from the torrent, but haven't listened yet.<<< I d/l it as well, but the quality is crap so rather than get a bad first impression, I stopped listening after the second track. Sounds GREAT so far. >>>>Newer remasters are usually better than old cds. Louder at least.<<<< Sure do sound better. Too bad there's no lyrics, but there are notes. I enjoyed them. >>>>>Do they still make Parkay? I'm a Canoleo fan! e<<<<< I'm pretty sure they do. I like Land o' Lakes Butter. Bud or Bud light?? Tastes great. Less...oh never mind. :-) Thanks e.
