That's a bit harsh. I think Wire is now pretty aware about how a lack of Rob seriously messes up the band. Although the studio recordings are essentially ProTools 'samples', they're effectively also what Rob plays, in a way totally different to, say, the 'drumming' on A Bell is a Cup... Plus, there's the live component - imagine Wire now _without_ a live drummer. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 10 Apr 2008 02:32:27 -0700 (PDT) From: Ari Subject: Re: [idealcopy] Rob - ----- Original Message ---- From: Craig Grannell T On 10 Apr 2008, at 09:30, idealcopy-digest wrote: > Rob generally exists as a library of samples! .>>. They only survive in a handful of locations now, generally in remote forests. the nearest enclave to manchester is Formby, between Liverpool and Southport, and a good 30-odd miles from MES's lair. So that would mean Mark was doing a public service by reducing the population of grey squirrels, which are responsible for the decline of the indigenous red. Then again... my cats can't catch a grey squirrel, so how a toothless 50-year old alcoholic can manage it is anyone's guess. I'd like to see a video of it though! Mark Tired of spam? Yahoo!
