Its day 3 of the big Wire mailout! The last wave of pre-orders are going out today so hopefully everyone should be listening to Read & Burn 03 over breakfast tomorrow. Thanks for everyone who pre-ordered and supported PE on this one. Some of you have noticed the invoice issue up re; VAT. There was a bug in the system and some US customers got issued a UK invoice. While it looks like you are getting hit with extra tax you are actually saving 0.60p on the postage. The bugs thought you were in the UK and charged you the UK postal rate. We've lost out and as a result we've had to cancel the annual PE takeaway this Xmas! Anyway, the reason, why I joined the list was to get a feel for what fans of the band are listening to and buying between Wire releases. Hit me with some current top 5's! In the "good" (!!) old days inheritance tax would only hit the very wealthy whereas now anyone whose parents own their own home and have 50p in the bank would be almost bound to have to pay up, eventually. My taste is a bit middle of the road compared to some here - I still seem to be listening to the Dears' Gang of Losers and Beck's last two CDs; Cowboy and one or two other tracks from Helios Creed's new album Deep Blue Love Vacuum; Gone Gone Gone (Done moved on) from the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss collaboration; bits of the new Radiohead (though it isn't blowing me away); love the drumming on Psychic TV's BB but it does go on a bit...
