Means I must have been living down here for that long. Where did the time go, as someone once said. Since then, an arsonist has stung Brighton's other singing pier. Been meaning to mention (I think no one else has) that the video for Pump by He Said is up on youtube - always wanted to see that one from the description and stills in Kevin's book, and it's well worth a look. "No Warning Given" and "Desert Driving" are particularly impressive to me and either/both of them are sure candidates for an endless number of future mix CD's. The EP as a whole is solid and, as with others, I found myself comparing the music to Githead just as I compared it to older Wire. It's all good and always fun in an offbeat way to see someone that I know credited in the liner notes to a Joy Division reissue.) > Date: Mon, 22 Oct 2007 09:58:54 EDT > From: CHRISWIRE@aol.com > Subject: Fwd: [idealcopy] 23 years late/5 years on > > As for the new tracks...I like them well enough already after 3 listens. I am quite used to sampling lo-fi music for evaluation, but if it's from something I intend to buy regardless, I would rather listen to it in its full quality version. Nothing much to add to what's been written here - tracks certainly have the same sound imagery on R&B 01/02 & Send - the songs themselves also represent quite an organic evolution from the first two R&B's. It would be interesting to know if it was done in the same manner of the first two, using tracks from gigs and rehearsals to build new tracks, or back to the old fashioned way of writing songs (does Colin still write songs in the toilet, I wonder?) and jamming. Just like in Githead's last, the move towards song-oriented tracks is just right for its time. giluz, gloriously and admirably patient, waiting for the actual CD release. - -- Now playing: http://www.last.fm/user/giluz/ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Oct 2007 21:33:21 +0200 From: giluz Subject: Re: [idealcopy] R&B0 On 10/23/07, Ari wrote: > > you sound disappointed Giluz.........
