And for those not familiar with torrent sites, it's not a simple matter of typing in "wire" and finding it. Testing a search on one of my favorite sites, mininova.org, located 670 torrents matching that description, and looking at the first 150, none of them had anything to do with our boys ;) (Glad to see another Whitehouse fan on this list too :) ) Creaig On Oct 12, 2007, at 8:48 PM, First Last wrote: > http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=166018 > > And thankyou Craig. > > np Whitehouse - Thank your lucky stars > > On 10/13/07, MarkBursa@aol.com wrote: >>>> Is there a direct link to the torrent or do we have to do a long, >> boring search to find it? :)<< >> >> >> >> There's a short, and quite reasonable search involving the typing >> of four >> letters and a click of themouse. >> >> Special prize for guessing which four letters ;-) >> >> Mark ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Oct 2007 15:51:36 EDT From: MarkBursa@aol.com Subject: Re: [idealcopy] And Now Over To Your Dime Torrent Reporter >>And for those not familiar with torrent sites, it's not a simple matter of typing in "wire" and finding it. << That's all I did. Did anyone find out which episode of the Tube was shown? way too much INXS, Dave Stewart, Terrence Trent frigging Derby, Dire Straits etc. but it had its moments ..they once did a bizarre "The Prisoner" themed show from Portmerion which featured a couple of great XTC performances, lots of Stanley Unwin , and possibly Siouxie being chased along the beach by the scary white balloon thing. ah here we are: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pfRQGZUKS2Y http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=aeJcaEnkuLA > > One good thing I would say about The Word is that the bands always > looked good there (whereas they didn't on The Tube IMO). Not too bad actually - remarkably free of the usual suspects listed above (you forgot Annie Lennox, Tim). it was the one with the feature on Good Vibrations records and the Belfast scene, which was an entertaining period piece. Studio bands were U2 - Boner's messiah complex already kicking in; some woeful Clayon bass work; last known sighting of Edge's head minus hat; The Undertones in their 60s pop phase; Big Country and Dexys Midnight Runners (whose attire was remarkably similiar, if the sound of the bands was not. Sadly the raggle-taggle pikey look never caght on among the fashionistas du jour. Unlike today - surely Hoxton would be full of tw*ts in dungarees. The Word was predictably the "Oliver Reed off his tits" episode - though the old soak actually emerges with some dignity, despite having his dressing room bugged and being goaded into singing Wild Thing, backed by Ned's Atomic Dustbin. Also featured the famous L7 tampon incident, though you don't actually see this happen. Just a quick flash of Donita's front bottom.
