If you price it compared to your average Taschen coffee-table design monograph, it doesn't look quite so ridiculously overpriced - or, at least, it looks *differently* ridiculously overpriced. Record releases should be something to cherish, and there are enough people out there who don't just want to shell out for a collection of bits & bytes, or a shoddy production in a nasty plastic "jewel" case. Of course, it's nice to have an iPod-friendly version too - and Radiohead seem to have this aspect covered too. Record industry needs to wake up - as is so often the case, here's a band telling them how to do it. Next stage is to only make it available through independent record shops....
