I'm only 26, so I was never around during the good, seminal days of punk and post-punk. But about 2 years ago I was turned on to whom I consider the precursors of punk rock, The Velvet Underground. Then I got into some of the original punk bands like The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The Buzzcocks, etc. All if which I enjoyed, but when I started getting into the early post-punk bands, like Wire and Gang of Four, I really fell in love. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself, and I'm sorry for having launched into this amateurish diatribe, but it's just so great to find a group of people that can appreciate the punk (Pink Flag), post/art-punk (Chairs Missing and 154), and techno/fusion-punk (Send) that is the majesty and beauty of Wire. Does anyone know when/if they will be touring again, and if so, if they will come to Les Etats-Unis? And yes , if Wire do tour again they usually jump across the pond as well as Europe. Especially if there is new material to promote. ( WE HOPE !!)
