Paul was possibly nearest to the current floods. The depressing thing is the sheer relentlessness of the rain - virtually three months of it now. Last summer was really good and I'm sure a lot of people decided to holiday in the UK this year as a result. Bad plan. Off to Paris for a week tomorrow. Been trying to check if any gigs are on but it looks like the city is closing down for the summer already. Before saying goodbye, I wished him well and hoped for his safety as his area enters monsoon season. Last thing I expected was to experience monsoon type weather here in NY, twice in the past week. Nothing too serious in my immediate area, but many roads were closed due to flooding on Thursday. Today wasn't as bad.
