TorrentSpy.com Ordered By Judge to Become MPAA Spy http://news.com.com/TorrentSpy+ordered+to+start+tracking+visitors/2100-1030_3-6189866.html Please note: Torrent Spy has decided to fight the ruling. TorrentSpy has promised in its privacy policy never to track visitors without their consent. TorrentSpy is not located in the US (so this is really an attack on the ISPs of the US.) Ira Rothken, Torrentspy's attorney has stated that if they fail to fight the ruling "It is likely that TorrentSpy would turn off access to the U.S. before tracking its users," I wanted to keep everyone informed on this issue. While I am going to continue my support of TorrentSpy and will continue to use them everyday... I am asking all of you to stop. While Torrents are impossible to track... website user information is not. And while I am sure that the owners of TorrentSpy would sooner set a match to their sever system before they would hand ANYTHING over, the ISPs of the US are not that strong willed. For the moment it is only TorrentSpy that is effected. Feel free to use all the others. can't find that charity? http://www.charityads.org/ ____________________________________________________________________________________ Yahoo! oneSearch: Finally, mobile search that gives answers, not web links. http://mobile.yahoo.com/mobileweb/onesearch?refer=1ONXIC ------------------------------ End of idealcopy-digest V10 #113 ********************************
