"Chosen Time" and "ICB" are my two favorites from that one. My personal favorite New Order album is Brotherhood. The first five tracks on Brotherhood blow me away, as does New Order's apparently substance-aided performance of "Every Little Counts". It's a fun listen, though and through. As far as singles, twelve-inch mixes, and such go, I'd find it worthwhile if New Order would re-release all of their original singles/twelve-inches, and such in the singles box sets (sort of like how The Clash, Blondie, Duran Duran, Buzzcocks have done with original single artwork on replica CD sleeves and all of the singles contained in one convenient box). I own the Duran Duran 1981-1985 and Duran Duran 1986-1995 singles boxes (and am unashamed to admit it)...this sort of single re-release would work well for New Order. Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind if Wire decided to do something similar... Jason NP: Mogwai - Zidane Soundtrack (I bought the U.S. release of Mogwai's Zidane soundtrack yesterday as a blind purchase simply because I have everything else by Mogwai. Despite the brand-loyalty motivation of the purchase, though, I'm overjoyed to say that the Zidane soundtrack may be my favorite Mogwai album since Young Team. It's an incredible collection of low-key instrumentals unplagued by Mogwai's skewed and sometimes over-the-top sense of humor.) _________________________________________________________________ More photos, more messages, more storageget 2GB with Windows Live Hotmail. http://imagine-windowslive.com/hotmail/?locale=en-us&ocid=TXT_TAGHM_migration_HM_mini_2G_0507 ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 May 2007 11:21:38 -0700 (PDT) From: Jan Noorda Subject: [idealcopy] [OT]hello hello hello did someone see patti smith on later... i can t stop listening the trailer bbc made of her smells like teen spirit version what were the other songs she performed? and who is that band? jj ____________________________________________________________________________________ Bored stiff? A superb performance again - the third time I've seen her since she came back - full of energy, commitment and charisma. Apart from being greyer, she looks no different than she did 30 years ago and frankly one can envisage her doing this well into her old age. Lenny Kaye and Jay Dee Daugherty are still in the band. The version of Smells Like Teen Spirit was very powerful and by the time the Tears for Fears song came around I was prepared to forgive her anything.
