It was highly entertaining, hilarious in parts, but quite thin on actual poetry - he read an endless amount of limericks, peppered with various digressions, diversions and distractions and a long stream of hilariously un-PC jokes... I think there might have been maybe four or five old numbers and about the same of new stuff, the best of which was his updating of Beasley Street, called Beasley Boulevard, apres makeover by Laurence Lewellyn-Bowen... he panned the whole show out for an hour and a half... cheeky (articulate) monkey... My girlfriend witnessed one performance, at the Colston Hall in Bristol, which she said left her students/pupils totally bewildered. The next time he was due to make an appearance which she would've seen he apparently missed the train.
