Also, the name of the Danielle Dax cover was "Tomorrow Never Know", not "Tomorrow Never Dies". "Tomorrow Never Knows" is the Beatles song and "Tomorrow Never Dies" is the fun 1997 James Bond flick with Bond (Brosnan) using a remote to control a BMW from the back seat during a car chase and with one of the best Bond girls of the entire franchise...the amazing Michelle Yeoh. _________________________________________________________________ Like the way Microsoft Office Outlook works? It's a nice blend of "Outdoor Miner" and "The 15th". I'm also quite partial to "These Days", "On Your Own", "Drop", and "Jet Ear Game". On first listen, I was surprised at how conventional this new Githead sounded compared with the EP and Profile, but I've been paying attention to the nuances and such on subsequent listens. It's quite a mind-blowing record. On the topic, I managed to grab all of the Depeche Mode CD/DVD reissues by combing the used CD stores over the past few months and am impressed with the thorough documentaries on the DVD side. Each documentary from the era of the respective album features current interviews with pretty much all involved, even those like Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder who are no longer with the band. The documentary for the Speak & Spell reissue has some good recollections from Vince Clarke and company. I'm partial to the post-Vince Clarke Depeche Mode where the band took the metal/industrial sounds of Einsturzende Neubauten and company and ran with it by use of creative sampling. A Broken Frame, Construction Time Again, Some Great Reward, and Black Celebration are all ace, even on the reissue front.
