I wonder if Mark could hear ghostly echoes of EG Lewis shouting of 'f**k off you little sh*t' as he walked past Not entirely convinced by new Fall LP...'The American Band' (as they seem to be billed) sound a bit 'rock', and vocally far from MES's finest hour. Be interested to know how they measure up to the 'Heads Roll' Fall who were quite a thunderous slab of wonderfulness. n.p. Throbbing Gristle's suitably otherworldy new LP complete with bits of bone & metal encased in the CD spine. It seems like there's the LP version, the 7" version, the 12" version and Ahead (II). Are these all distinct? Thanks, Mitch ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 3 Apr 2007 00:04:32 -0700 From: "Paul Pietromonaco" Subject: Re: [idealcopy] Ahead versions Hi Mitchell, That sounds about right. Ahead LP and Ahead II are very distinct. As for the single versions - I honestly can't remember. I think the 7" version is an edit of the LP version, and the 12" may just be the LP version. I have this on vinyl, but I still haven't set up my turntable, so I can't confirm or deny. I'm sure somebody will chime in shortly. ^_^ Cheers, Paul - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mitchell Dickerman" To: Sent: Monday, April 02, 2007 7:36 PM Subject: [idealcopy] Ahead versions > Quick question: how many versions of "Ahead" are there? Resending.) Oh - before I forget - there's a live version of Ahead. It's on the Buzz Buzz Buzz EP. There's more information here: http://www.wireviews.com/information/discography.html (And - yeah - I'm starting to think the 12" Ahead is an extended mix. I'm really gonna have to get that turntable running. ^_^) Cheers, Paul - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Pietromonaco" To: Cc: "Mitchell Dickerman" Sent: Tuesday, April 03, 2007 12:04 AM Subject: Re: [idealcopy] Ahead versions > Hi Mitchell, > > That sounds about right. > > Ahead LP and Ahead II are very distinct. > > As for the single versions - I honestly can't remember.
