Has his best mate Sir Bob decided to reform for a Stadium Tour? and a 'Best of' album?<< Don't forget they scored two Number 1 singles, both of them epic production jobs a long way from Harv's perception of "punk". Not many punk-era bands achieved two number 1s. For about 6 months they were all over daytime radio like a particularly scabby rash, and so they must've caught his attention at the time. Bob would have trouble selling out a pub tour these days, even with Harv's mighty marketing machine behind him! I grew up in Tel-Aviv at a time when it was really hard to find decent imported alternative music in record shops. As much as finding something you were looking for for a long time is gratifying and rewarding, I would have killed for an internet connection and P2P software in the eightees. I download quite a lot, and usually buy the stuff I really like later. As to legal downloads, while they lack the magic of 7" or 12" vinyl singles, they can and probably will be used more and more in the future as a very efficient and cheap alternative distribution system. giluz - -- Now playing: http://www.last.fm/user/giluz/ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Mar 2007 15:07:36 +0100 From: "Uri Baran" Subject: Re: [idealcopy] Punk Rock?
