Simon Topping is now a piano tuner. Last seen on the really good DVD that LTM released of interviews with all the old factory lot..he came across as a decent fella. lord knows what happened to the other two. The sort of question Mark Bursa might be able to answer. << You rang, m'lud? Martha Tilson was American, and was Jez Kerr's girlfriend, acquired on the US tour in 1980. At some stage around the release of Sextet she ceased being Jez's bird and hence departed ACR. She was only brought in because Simon didn't want to be the front man. Her presence in the band still grates with AH Wilson to this day! She was pretty annoying! Peter Terrel wasn't realy a musician - he was sort of the Bruce Gilbert of ACR, adding treated guitar textures etc. As they got more commercial, he became more marginalised - ended up playing marracas etc. Losing him was the beginning of the end of ACR as a really interesting band (ie after I'd like to see you again).... don't believe he coninued in music after leaving ACR, so no idea what happened to him. Simon T was a really good chap. Knew him quite well, and ACR really was his band and there's always been something missing since he left. >>Heard a live tape of this gig now and doesn't sound like they were on the best form and oh dear oh dear the new stuff is funk by numbers (i.e the sort you'd get if you pressed the "funk" button on a casio keyboard). << Like the last three albums then! Really annoying thing is most of the elements of good ACR are still there - Moscrop's guitar FX, Donald's drums etc, and they play great versions of DO the Du/Flight/And then again, etc. But the songwriting is just too trad soul/funk/r&b influenced these days....
