The book seems to take the majority of info from Lol Tolhurst and it's fun reading in an offbeat sort of way, though. I have never read Ten Imaginary Years (despite it being on my must-find list for years now), so there's really not much that I have in the way of comparison. The book gives a positive recap of Seventeen Seconds, an album that is my favorite (for now) and that most publications seem to undermine in favor of Pornography or the later stuff. I did buy The Cure's Festival 2005 DVD last month and I've been enjoying it. The camerawork is lacking, but the music itself from Smith, Gallup, Jason Cooper, and the recently rejoined Porl Thompson is good stuff. A keen setlist, as well. The DVD includes "Drowning Man", one of my favorite Cure songs that the band has never played very often. Lots of good stuff from Seventeen Seconds era as well.
