I saw Kaito open for British Sea Power here in Atlanta back in 2004 and felt that KaitO commanded just as much attention, if not more, than the headlining act. The lead female vocalist in the band was pretty cute and they had a unique intensity to them that made me think of the best that Breeders, Blonde Redhead, and others had to offer on occasion. I bought KaitO's album, Band Red, a few days later, though, and felt that it didn't measure up to the live sound by any stretch. Sorry to hear that they're no more, though.
