I was too young to get Stiff at the time (in more ways than one!). Heard some good riffs and all that, and Ian Dury...well. And Madness. Never really heard much Pub Rock before (one of the few things that hasn't ever been revived in my lifetime). Not sure if Pub Rock was just Prog Rock, with less time signature changes and shorter songs..played by blokes...in a pub.... I suppose it was the Creation Records of its day..had a few big bands at the right time and was the coolest thing ever for a drug fuelled frenzied couple of years and then went spectacularly wrong. > My question would be: Did Stiff *really* warrant 6 hours of > documentary footage ?
