"all you need to do is emigrate to the USA, where you can easilly ignore the World Cup" Not if you emigrate to my bit of the USA, North Beach in San Francisco, perhaps the west coast center of the Italian universe. Up the hill in bed I could hear the crowds cheering like the game was being played right there. Then I went out and there were the largest crowds I'd ever seen on these streets; cafes and bars had the big TVs set facing the sidewalks to accomdate the masses who couldn't fit inside. And the police were out in number, obviously perpared for a riot (win or loose, I guess). Fortunately, it was fun-loving, friendly crowd. (partly owing to the fact that I haven't been able to play my vinyl version for the best part of a decade). Anyone wanting to give vinyl copies of Yellow and Blue/Deceit/Health and Efficiency a good home should email me before I put them on ebay at some point. Fall of Saigon from Yellow and Blue would be a good starting point for downloaders, I'd say. I paid 40 english pounds for it...not sure what the exchange rate is, but as a CD is ten pounds that seemed ok for 6 remastered cds and a book. Get on Soulseek and download some This Heat for free and then buy the box set if you like what you hear...although I think most fans of Wire would appreciate most of their 2nd Lp 'Deceit' ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
