Hope I got it right. cheers giluz - -- Now playing: http://www.last.fm/user/giluz/ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Jul 2006 21:09:16 +0300 From: giluz Subject: [idealcopy] C&M on 106FM http://posteverything.com/news/article.php?id=15012 This is announcing a new monthly radio show where C&M will play an alphabetical selection of tracks off their iTunes player (tomorrow will feature A's, B's and some C's). 106fm is certainly Israel's best radio station. Its a local college radio specialising in alternative stuff, and is one of C&M's favourite radio stations. You should check them out regardless (www.106fm.co.il). cheers giluz - -- Now playing: http://www.last.fm/user/giluz/ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Jul 2006 21:40:37 +0300 From: giluz Subject: [idealcopy] And another correction for C&M's radio show Sorry, it's a bit confusing, but what I meant was the nigth between Thursday and Friday, at least according to 106FM's site. giluz - -- Now playing: http://www.last.fm/user/giluz/ ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Jul 2006 19:56:49 +0100 From: "Keith Knight" Subject: RE: [idealcopy] OT: not that anyone was waiting with bated breath ... Now that I'll be editing again, I guess I've got to return to the accursed practice of using capitalization and such all proper-like. Damnation! More immediate than their last LP, certainly louder. If you don't know the band you could call it Art Rock with a pop edge to it, but theres a seriousness about these which separates them from the likes of Bloc Party, Interpol or the Futureheads by some considerable distance. Think Pere Ubu, meets Wire, PiL meets the Beach Boys (them falsetto vocals!) and My Bloody Valentine. Maybe a funkier, more upbeat Liars. But really they don't sound like anyone else. Bowie is a big fan and guests on backing vocals although don't let that put you off! Also forked out for the This Heat box which I'm thoroughly enjoying hearing most of this for the first time. Extraordinary stuff, a lot of this sounds very 2006 to me...Health and Efficiency currently no.1 in this weeks playlist. Enjoyed listening to Repeat on a train as a huge storm broke over Lancashire.... Its a scandal these records (no pun intended) have been unavailable for so long and I hope at least the two LPs get a separate release outside the box so they can start influencing young bands like Wire have always done. ------------------------------ End of idealcopy-digest V9 #176 *******************************
