You can crack the code of most DVD players so that they could play all zones. Google search the name and model of your DVD player and among the various manuals and auctions you would also find sites that have those cracks. In Israel this information is usually supplied to you by the shop assistant himself while you buy the product. cheers giluz On 6/26/06, Ian B wrote: > > Quick question from a technical ignoramus. > > having bought the Wire DVDs and finding that they played fine on my > player, > I assumed I'd be ok with the purchase of other NTSC DVDs. True... Davids, Seedorf and Bogarde did cling together, but my guess is this mainly became a problem because of the feeblemindedness of former coach Dick Advocaat. The players did mention they stood behind their Dick. Then too Holland were kicked out by Figo and his men (semi final). >> Mind you I sure did miss Davids in midfield!<< > > He's not looked good at Tottenham this season. Yes, the track you heard may have been from American V... but... there's also a 5 disc box set called "Unearthed" that has 4 discs of outtakes (including an entire gospel album!) from the first 4 records! (The fifth disc is a "greatest hits" of tracks from the official albums). Describing the first 4 American albums, allmusic.com states: "During Cash's tenure with American Recordings that began in 1992, he and Rubin would cut anywhere between 40 and 80 songs for each record; for the first one they recorded over 100. " http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:0ikvikksbb69 (This is why there's probably gonna be an American VI - American V would have been the tracks that Johnny had selected, but there's probably a "few" more. ^_^) Also, new in stores is Johnny Cash's "Personal File" - this is material he recorded at his "House of Cash" studios, mostly in 1973, but up until 1982. I don't have the album (yet) but according to the reviews, this material previews the sort of work he would do with Rick Rubin on the American series. The double-disc set has been gathering rave reviews: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:8b831v06zzca Cheers, Paul - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ian B" To: Sent: Monday, June 26, 2006 6:43 AM Subject: Re: [idealcopy] (OT) Johnny Cash - American V A Hundred Highways >I knew that there was something in the pipeline but not that anything was > imminent.
