In fact I suspect, looking at that array of faces, that a few of us would assume that the spiritual heirs of the Krays had sent a few of 'the lads' round to introduce themselves, and by way of a neighbourly introduction, break a couple of bones.....;-) Seriously, would you tell *ANY* of those guys that "The cheque is in the post, honest" ?? dw Keith A wrote: Cheers, Fergus. Absolutely! I really wanted to go, but couldn't unfortunately. In the light of events afterwards, I *really* regret not having been able to go. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 04 May 2006 02:17:12 +0100 From: Tim Subject: Re: [idealcopy] We meet under Mr.Marx's tables CHRISWIRE@aol.com wrote: > In a message dated 30/04/2006 18:38:14 GMT Daylight Time, > lockupyourhats@yahoo.com writes: > > > > Oh & great pictures as always Fergus. > > NP Mogwai - Mr Beast > > & Liars - Drum's Not Dead - 2 years ago at The Tramway. I love the new Liars...never really got the first two records but this is much more my bag. And they always change tack with each record so I shall be intrigued to see what they come up with next. Heard a few snippets of the new Mogwai and wasn't moved to buy. What do you think of it? An early gig of theirs at a tiny venue in Manchester with Brendan O'Hare on percussion is still one of my favourite gigs ever but have found their records increasingly dissapointing and never heard their live sound truly captured on record (although perhaps I haven't got big enough speakers) ------------------------------ End of idealcopy-digest V9 #118 *******************************
