Am I alone in secretly finding joy in the failure of the Tinyurl system? What is the point of it? Instead of copying and pasting a normal URL into an email or a browser, you have to go to Tinyurl.com, copy and paste the normal URL into Tinyurl, which then gives you a smaller URL trhat you have to copy and paste into your mail/browser. So one task is replaced by three. In what way does that save you time? It's not as if you have to type web addresses out, is it? Hopeless waste of time. BTW, those reissues are ths standard US ones - I can't see why anyone here would want one - as they're the same ones that are going into the box - which is only available from Posteverything. Councils and official bodies are the worst offenders for impractically long addresses. I've had a few addresses converted to tinyurls and published. No complaints yet. Many email clients wrap long urls in ways that incur considerable effort for all recipients. A small effort on the part of the sender is a courtesy to the many recipients. That said, no one in their right mind would suggest that tinyurl be used for every reference.
