The wording should be restricted to the spines, methinks. Bruno >>One minor point regarding these reissues of the "Harvest trilogy" that's been commented on-list occasionally: Looking at the sleeves for these re-releases, it looks as though both 'Pink Flag' AND 'Chairs Missing' have lost the white border around the cover pics: that'll please some folks, including if memory serves, Mark Bursa......<< Indeed. I'd be even more pleased if they didn't say "WIRE / PINK FLAG" or "WIRE / CHAIRS MISSING" either! Just the images, full bleed. Would suit Wire's "Fine Art Sensibility" that Mr N is mentioning in most interviews these days ;-) Mark ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed. However, the PE list is fine, and the PF one is now reportedly fixed. As for the live CDs, they're not going to be issued separately in March. Craig<<<<< Seems even stranger to stick to 1,000 copies then, given that interest in the band is up at the moment. OK, so it gets people like me into gear to make sure they snap up a copy sooner rather than later but I've never had the impression that anyone connected with the band is rolling in dosh, so why pass up a legitimate chance to make some money? With a true limited edition offer like this there will, sadley, be people buying sets just to put them up for sale on eBay to profit from those unaware of the pending release... Page left is a review of the first three albums ('without Wire there would be no link between 1976 and 2006') and a rather fetching early photo of the band with Graham looking like he's travelled into the future to meet Duran Duran, Colin in shredded white shirt and Robert SMILING. Page right has an interview with Colin in which he displays his excellent taste by bigging up KaitO and the 2002 version of Liars (I'll look out for him in ULU in a few weeks then where these bands are on the same bill) while naming Mo Tucker as his favourite Velvet. And also an exclusive item - some photos of the band taken in 1976 at Watford Art School by the magazine designer, Slim Smith, previously unseen. In themselves not hugely exciting but an historical artefact. In case people want this issue it can be ordered through their website http://www.artrocker.com/ (although it looks like individual issues may be available in the UK only) where you can also read my mate Alec's review of Sparks live. Another the Keith ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Mar 2006 19:51:21 -0000 From: "Keith Knight" Subject: RE: [idealcopy] name the song I certainly did Original Keith - a tremendously entertaining night out and everyone I went with (six of us) loved it too. It definitely feels like their time has come again and I think that's because they genuinely stand out from the rather homogeneous noise that constitutes the rock landscape these days. I read subsequently that neither Russell nor Ron have ever had a long-term relationship as they both think that it would distract from the band. Which, if true (and it was them saying it) is something of a sacrifice for their Art.
