The guy in the shop told me who it was but in the intervening fortnight I've forgotten. It sounded like 'Iron and ????' or '???? and Iron' and apparently it's one bloke, possibly from Florida. I suspect a lot on the IC will have read it, and, like myself, probably gotten it as an xmas pressie, but for those who haven't, I'd strongly recommend it. HIs recollections are sometimes hilarious and sometimes quite sad (the abuse suffered in schol was pretty horrendous - one episode in particular). Such a shame he never finished it. And the sad thing there is that he had a laptop given to him especially to write it for over a year before he actually started it. Only his own stubborness in refusing the help of others in operating it stopped him from beginning the work earlier. His wife does an admirable job of picking up from where he left off, giving us some interesting insights into his character that he may or may not have afforded us. Her writing style is not unlike his, though more concise, which creates a good continuity. Incredible to think that he is in that famous photo of Jack Ruby gunning down Lee Harvey Oswald...
