Freudian - the most obvious, so I won't get into it. 2. I only have an Israeli passport. I'm 36 years old, so it's kinda too late for me to try and start again in a different country, even if I could have a work permit. 3. I'm the kind of person who will always criticise his own doings first and only then criticise others, and this goes all the way. 4. Strong tendency to cynicism and morbid black humour, so you shouldn't take anything I say at face value. 5. I'm a hopeless optimist and even worse, a utopist, so I do believe in my heart things would get better eventually, though my mind tells me differently. 6. I love the place I live in but can't help feeling angry and bitter about the stupidity, ignorance and paranoia most Israelis employ in order to fuck up everyone's lives, including their own. You would have to remember that Israel is not a liberal country, it does not have separation between politics and (Jewish) religion, it has 20% of Israeli Palestinian citizens who are 2nd grade citizens almost officially, and another 3-3.5 million who have virtually no rights at all, it's in the top 5 list for countries where there's the biggest gap between the highest and lowest wages, it is very conservative culturally, the music especially sucks, though made up of immigrants, most people here are racists (and not only concerning Palestinians), and this is just what pops to mind right now - the list is so long. 7. I'm a left-winged wanker who likes to complain and give prophecies of doom, but seriously - I do believe I would always give more emphasis to injustice wherever I live, regardless of politics or ideology, and I happen to live in a place where injustice is being systematically done by the people and the state quite more often than in most western countries. Not only are many CDs damn cheap, if you don't like them you can take them back (within 14 days) - which is handy when you suddenly realise that the Doors only really made four decent albums and you've bought one that ain't so hot! The Syd Barrett box set is 25UK pounds at the moment, which is tempting... - -----Original Message----- From: Keith Knight [mailto:steeleknight@lineone.net] Sent: 17 December 2005 08:10 To: Idealcopy Subject: [idealcopy] Return the Gift in Fopp UK listers dashing out for a late bit of Christmas shopping in the vicinity of a Fopp may like to know that Go4's Return the Gift can be bought there for seven quid at present.
