(with apolpgies to Ian, to whom I keep sending idealcopy stuff to by clicking on the wrong 'drop down address'- age y'know) as y'all know I recieved the DVD's today.(now yesterday) made eight copies of disc one, inserted disc two and............. nothing, not a sausage!! wouldn't load in any of my dvd players either so I can only assume it's blank! emailed Doug to ask him to send me a copy of his (it'll be quicker than waiting another frigging week for Mike to send one, not that it's his fault, it SHOULD only take 3 days, not a week like these two took to get here) sorry to disappoint but be patient (unlike me) they will be done. By 1980, the band were on the brink of losing their record deal with EMI and were starting to fragment into separate recording units. Ivo was (and remains) a big Wire fan - and after meeting him at a Bauhaus show, Bruce and Graham offered 4AD some material they had been working on. Shortly afterwards, an EP (called "Like This For Ages") was released under the name Cupol; it was followed by the full length album 3R4 which was credited simply to BC Gilbert/ G. Lewis. All of Bruce Gilbert and Graham Lewis's 4AD material was subsequently collected on the 8 Time CD. And Einstuerzende Neubauten have released their second supportes album and its a great one. There're some tracks up on Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/covertmusic) if anyone's interested - kind of melancholy electro stuff. I don't want to steal Craig's thunder, though, so I'll shut up now!
