Just a compilation of previously published material - say, an article by Lester Bangs next to a review by Julie Burchill - without comment, and context provided only by the date of publication. Kinda like Greill Marcus' "Lipstick Traces" without the Greill Marcus bits, (no disrespect intended ;) ) My apologies for ignorantly blathering on if that is exactly what the abovementioned do.
