Well, maybe is my advantage noy having a chance to see some of fave bands live, so Pale saints leave as one of bands i rank very much.. Comfort Of Madness and In Ribbons are very often in my CD Player.. Third one is not bad, but.. I will recommend to you new Walkabouts album "Acetyline" on Glitterhouse.. It rocks, and they are better than ever alive !!! I will see them in two weeks, cannot wait.. and support is Transmissionary Six fronted by Walks drummer gorgeous Terry Moeller and ex Grant Willard Conspiracy man.. Walks covered Buzzcocks and Tr.6 Afghan Whigs on some gigs.. fantastic.. synchronicity that i herad Walks with new Tennage Fanclub album (produced by Tortoise man McEntire) and two of them are perfect pair (i mean albums). even i can hear some things McEntire "invent" for Stereolab i am very pleased with new TFC. In fact i think that it will played more than last New Order;-) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 10 Sep 2005 17:12:40 +0100 From: "Keith A" Subject: Re: [idealcopy] OT-Sigur Ros > Friend of mine gave me a copy of album. > I cannot wait officially to get out and pick.. > surely album of the year.. > Takk is fable in one word..soundtrack for personal utopia. > To be more concisive you can hear traces from > The Beatles via Pale Saints to MBV to Slowdive but it > is really marvellous... something between AB and ( ) > but worth any seconds of listening.. This is a must for me - even if you did mention the dreaded Pale Saints, surely the worst headlineband I've ever seen. Probably the only time I've considered leaving a giog early! I've been playing ( ) a lot lately, and it really is a remarkably beautiful album. The singles pretty good I must admit...I'm a sucker for a huge guitar meltdown which this has. > > This is a must for me - even if you did mention the dreaded Pale Saints, > surely the worst headlineband I've ever seen. Probably the only time I've > considered leaving a giog early! Really? Was this in the later days after Ian Masters (odd looking lead singer with sunken eyes and choirboy voice) had left? Saw them just before In Ribbons came out I thought they were brilliant. I think they went rapidly downhill after that. 2nd division shoegazers but not *that* bad surely? Mind you, I nearlly walked out of a John Spencer Blues Explosion Gig which is just as controversial as yours I think....I just didn't get it at all...does nothing for me at all and I found it terribly boring. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 10 Sep 2005 17:59:01 -0700 (PDT) From: Ari Subject: [idealcopy] for americans on this list........... hurricanehousing.org, shareyourhome.org, habitat.org or any other way you can help.
