That's hilarious. I can't think of anyone else in rock music who would get hurt with a microwave injury. Apart from Eric Clapton. If I threw one at him! np SFA - phantom power (I love this one. Not sure about their new LP which is....a chance for the other Super Furry Animals (other than Gruff Rhys) to showcase their songwriting talents. Ahem. I presume they were thinking of those early 70s Beach Boys LPs where Dennis Wilson, Bruce Johnston, Al Jardine & Mike Love flexed their songwriting muscles while Brian got stuck into his coke/burger habit. Alas Bunf, Guto, Cian et al deliver a much more understated songwriting style and its all a bit trad dad and...spit...mellow. I can only assume that SFA hope to be around in 20 years time (I hope they will) and that this might be considered a mid-period treasure...their 'Friends' or 'Village Green...' ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Aug 2005 20:15:12 -0500 From: David McKenzie Subject: Re: [idealcopy] Blood and iron I saw FM Einheit slice his leg open (requiring 25 stitches) jumping around in a contact mic'ed shopping cart some years back. Finished out the remaining 10 minutes ofr the show whilst bleeding profusely. HEadliner Jim Thrillwell's subsequent posturing in front of a 4-track tape deck was considerably diminished.
