I have to say that this is one of the best box set packages that I've seen in recent memory. The box itself is a sturdy comic book cover art with the four CD's on one side and a big graphic novel (complete with 3-D glasses, etc.) on the other side of the box. The songs sound great, as one would expect. It's a more complete picture than the Ramones - Anthology from a few years ago and I'm looking forward to watching the DVD as well. I didn't get a chance to pick up the Stooges stuff, but Fun House is probably calling my name. I already own the older copy of this album, so I need to see if the improved sound, etc. is worth the effort of upgrading. I know of no one in the field of education who supports the act, and anyone who has done the research knows the school systems in Houston upon which this act was based had so seriously compromised their integrity (systematized cheating to enhance test scores, and not counting recent immigrant/non-English speakers' scores, both of which are, of course, not allowed if "NO CHILD" were to be left behind) that any reference to them in support of the act is meaningless. My own school, since the act took effect, has officially cancelled recess (as of three years ago), required teachers to teach an extra class after the school day is over (twice a week), because the end of the year test is so critical to our system 'report card' that all else pales education-wise. As a public school (in America), we are required to teach anyone who walks in the door, but are given directives from politicians as if we were a factory; improve scores by this % this year, decrease production of low scores by this %; in fact by 2010 or so all students must pass the tests, no excuses. Wikipedia, which I've recently been using more and more, has a good overview of the No Child Act, for a starter. And, back to the drums and wires, I'm thrilled to possess a ticket to see the Gang Before for the first time in 20 years (last time I saw them they were sandwiched between Public Enemy and Sisters Of Mercy).
