An alarming cocktail of hoisting power, opera, punk, cubic meters, improvised music, text-tatters and 30,000 tons of steel. The raw industrial surroundings of the NDSM ground form the inhospitable scenery for the story of Alex, the leader of a gang adrift. The wild, anti-social violence-phantasies of Alex and his companions take place at the darker side of society, in backstreet alleys and abandoned halls. Alex gets arrested by the State and re-educated in an institution. When the State is done with Alex, his wild phantasies, the wild space and the wild comradeship have shrunken to sterile behaviour, claustrophobia and opportunism. http://www.theex.nl Bart ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 25 Jun 2005 10:22:58 -0700 (PDT) From: Derek White Subject: [idealcopy] OT: Television , London QEH Here's another reveiw, from Thursday's Independent:- dw Tired of spam? RTE (Irish television) has a U2 night tonight.. 4+ hours of stuff for fans to slaver over. Bono's on the cover of the Irish Times today, a picture from last night's gig. It's the U2 juggernaut soaking up all media space. Cycling home from town last night, going contraflow with the U2 fans disgorging themselves from Croke Park, I was thinking how much of a contrast this was to the one and only time I saw them, in 1979, in a dingy room in Dublin's famous Dandelion Market. Hefty door pressure to see this up-and-coming Dublin band: 50p. Fergus ____________________________________________________ Yahoo! Sports Rekindle the Rivalries.
