Certainly Dudek was heroic during the penalties, but he had one or two 'comedy' moments during the 120 minutes preceding them. Of course that *was* an astonishing double save from Shevchenko just before the end, but his second bite of it should have been buried:- I don't think Dudek knew *that* much about it. Astonishing game , all told though. At half-time, I nearly ignored the second half, thinking it was more likely to be a 4-0 or 5-0 embarrassment , rather than what *did* happen, and I wasn't sure I wanted to see such a thing. One drawback though: the scousers are going to be *awfully* full of themselves for the next few months....... ;-) Bart van Damme wrote: Congrats Brits & Liverpudlians with a grand victory over Milan! Without Dudek's save from Shevchenko there's no penalties; without the penalty saves there's no trophy. And Gerrard was anonymous first half. And Carragher keeps on growing. I was thinking 'fair play to the reds' until I saw Kewell grinning from the podium. As a Leeds fan, the bloke still galls me (and probably a few Liverpool fans too). If ever a medal was less deserved... As an aside, a guy at work was watching the match at the house of a friend. This friend has an on line betting account and at half time they checked the odds on a Liverpool win. At 258-1 all present each threw a couple of quid at it.
