And it has stood me in good stead. Solid wood lasts along time and looks fine finished or not. Additional shelves accommodate CDs and books nicely. Shelves can be added and moved. In recent years I have added Ikea IVAR shelves, which, while not quite as nice, provide a close match and can be purchased in a store near me. (Lundia's business is now principally selling storage to tradesmen and no longer has retail availability in Chicago, but can be ordered from an agent and shipped direct) Each 12" deep shelving unit stores about 900 CDs on each side (I use 1x1 remnants from the lumberyard as dividers for the CD Shelves) I won't cop to how many shelves are now employed, but it makes a nice dividing wall between my 'basement 'office' and Maya's play area. Additional units with enough shelves for CD alone storage run about $80 which is the most cost effective way to store 1800 CDs I have found. I was just feeling a little sorry fo myself. The past few days have been kinda strange for me. My dad passed away just a few hours ago. He was supposed to go in the hospital today, but he didn't want to. So he died in his sleep. He had cancer. He was 62. A few years back he had surgery for colon cancer, but he stopped the follow up treatments and just waited to die. He was no saint and caused a lot of heartache for my family, but I always had hope for him that he would change. I don't know who to talk to or what else to say. This list has always been sort of a support group. It is good to hear other peoples problems and what goes on in their lives. We are very similar. A Wire fan is just not quite right in the head. But that is a good quality. I suppose I should get dressed now and get moving. Thank you Everyone!
