Regrettably IMHO, that's about 49p too much. It is ALL utter *shite* of the first magnitude, and I wouldn't even inflict it on the ears of footy fans, most of whom are traditionally tone-deaf. Quite possibly one of the worst albums I've ever heard. More fool me for taking a punt, I'd say. Yahoo! He keeps prattling on about how the Conference (North) is a tougher league than last year...No it's NOT , pal:- it's the same old crappy Unibond, with a couple of Doc Marten's league teams added. We were #137,000 in the hole when I last looked, and support is haemmorhaging away at an alarming rate. It's ALL down to the rank stupidity of the board, and this f***ing excuse for a manager. Sorry you asked........?? I may find another , more pleasant way of spending Saturdays.. Root canal work, perhaps? I had just intended putting shelves up and putting my cd's and records on them, but the rooms not very big and I want to utilise the space as best as possible. I've seen some of these purpose build storage units, where the cd's fit into plastic containers that open as drawers. Anyone got them, recommend them, are they up to the job, does it feel like a pain to open them? (Please bear in mind that NO are the reviewers favourite band) ALBUM: New Order - Waiting For The Siren's Call (London Records) GET Ready, New Order's 2001 comeback album, was a classic example of a band not following its own advice. The lacklustre arrangements and clownish lyrics amounted to a nadir in an otherwise unblemished history. However, Waiting for the Siren's Call is a slight improvement. But even the appearance of Scissor Sisters chanteuse Ana Ma Tronic on Jetstream fails to lift the song beyond the category of music to iron shirts to. I Told You So embarrasingly resembles an Ace of Base out-take and, throughout, Peter Hook's bass lines are now as predictable as price rises on petrol and cigarettes. The final track, Working Overtime, shows that the band can still pull off the inspirational touches of old - this is a pure rockout, reminiscent of The Stooges and finishes the album with a glimmer of hope for the future output of a band that once dramatically lost their way and are not quite back yet.
